Over the past several years I have been enjoying the transition from 3-d constructions, into collaged Photoshop Illustration. This return to my roots in Commercial Illustration, and has opened a fabulous world of imagery and intent. It is easy to see how much my Assemblage work influences my Graphic designs. I also spend a great deal of time "picturizing" the Biblical Geometry principles that I have been researching for years, some of which can be seen on my websites sacredhandpublishing.com and karenjacks.com
The Sacred Hand
I designed this newer Sacred Hand logo to symbolize the blessing of creativity present in our hands. My original logo from 1995 had a "yod" flame, (which is the 10th letter in Hebrew), in the center of the palm. Though not born Jewish, I have studied and cherish our Hebrew roots & Torah for many years. It is with much joy that I continue to learn and apply the full Faith of the Scriptures in my life...... So regarding the letterforms that have a poetic beauty pertaining to the hand...... I feel that the 3 consecutive letters, in the Hebrew Aleph Bet, - "yod" (10th), "kaph" (11th), "lamed" (12th), fit together in a unique way. At the time of redesigning it I was intent on featuring the right hand. I plan to revise this at some point to fit the letter "lamed" in the left hand, echoing the curve of the palm. So I may accurately acknowledge the Source of my creativity I give thanks to live in the Grace of our Father YHVH's Love, in Jesus Christ - Yeshua.
